Sand Dollar has multiple rooms for rent, with daily and weekly pricing. 2 back down boat ramps, and large hoist. Sand Dollar offers live and dead market bait, large tackle store, hardware, food and beverages. With our huge covered pavillion, Swollfest has a nice shaded area to block the sun and stay cool. Registration Party will be held at the New Orleans Yacht Club on June 3rd, 2008 from 5-7:30PM. The Swollfest 2008 Design will be posted in the near future, so please check back for updates.

1. (adj.) swoll meaning big, fest as in competition-competition of the biggest

2. (adj.) swoll meaning big, fest as in "good time" - have a lot of fun

3 Swoll as in past tense of swell

4. (n.) Swollfest as in fishing rodeo; therefore, it is a " Swell fishing rodeo which is a competition for the biggest fish where we all have a good time!"

Swollfest Calendar of Events:

Tuesday June 3, 2008 –

5:00pm – 7:30pm - Registration Party at New Orleans Yacht Club – food and drink will be provided.  This is the last day to sign up before a late fee is assessed.

 

Thursday June 5, 2008 –

12:01am Swollfest Fishing Rodeo officially begins.  This is an honor system, there is not a shotgun start.  There is no a weigh in today and there is no food or beverage served today.

 

Friday June 6, 2008 –

4:00pm – 6:30pm – Swollfest scales are open for weighing in fish at the Sand Dollar Marina.  Food and beverage will be served throughout this time.

 

Saturday June 7, 2008 –

4:00pm – 8:00pm – Live Seabrook Band will be playing music

4:00pm – 6:30pm – Swollfest scales are open for weighing in fish at the Sand Dollar Marina.  Food and beverage will be served throughout this time.

6:30pm – Swollfest scales are officially closed.

8:00pm (Approx.) – Swollfest Awards Ceremony and raffle drawing will begin

9:00pm – Swollfest ends for 2008
