2022: Cooper Clower
Cooper’s story from Heather (his mother):
Cooper will turn 16 on July 21. He was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy when he was 3 years old, but he has not let this diagnosis determine his future.
He is successful in the classroom and is an Honor Roll student at Ocean Springs High School. His teachers have recognized him with the Excellence in Character award, and he represented his school as a Student Ambassador. He has big plans for his future and has goals to become a Marine Biologist or an engineer.
Cooper is a supportive big brother and willingly sits at baseball and soccer games to watch his brother and sister. In his free time, he loves everything outdoors. He enjoys target shooting, and he has proven to be an excellent marksman.
He is extremely passionate about hunting and fishing and loves to learn about both. When he's not on the boat or in the woods, he's making plans for his next outing and researching everything about it to ensure a successful trip!
